Antique collars look so amazing around the neck, and can so easily be worn day or night, and here is a very elegant antique collar that was made in sterling silver in the late Victorian period of the 1890's.

Measuring 47.5cm in length, at the end is a bolt ring which can be placed at the back of the neck, at the front on its own, or used to attach a locket as can be seen in one of the images. Antique sterling silver collar made in the late 1800's

Dating from the 1890's, collars have always been a popular form of jewellery. These antique Victorian era collars are often found in silver, so finding one in gold is a real treasure. Able to be worn on their own or with a locket at the bottom, they suit any time of the day or night.

Collars have been around since Egyptian times and were very popular in the late Victorian era as well as the choker style in the Art Deco era of the 1920's to the 1940's.
