Art Deco sapphire and pearl necklace made in the 1920’s

This necklace was made in the Art Deco period of the 1920’s and sits so beautifully around the neck and is the perfect piece to wear during the day and well into the evening for that special occasion.

Made in 15 carat gold, the design of this piece is so elegant and the combination of sapphires and pearls is a perfect match that beautifully accentuate the design.

Laid out from end to end, the necklace measures 38.5cm and in the centre is a square cut sapphire that leads down to the main pendant section which is separated by three pearls.

With twenty pearls surrounded an additional three sapphires, the sapphires total 0.30 carats and all have such a wonderful fine blue colour.

The pearls truly make the sapphires stand out even more, and this piece will surprise so many when they discover that it is over 100 years old, yet is still as fashionable today as when it was made.
