Toi et Moi is French for "You and Me" and is used for a ring with two stones and this is believed to have started when Napoleon gave Josephine a sapphire and diamond engagement ring in 1776, and here is a very beautiful Art Deco Toi et Moi diamond engagement ring.
Beautifully hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum in the 1920's, this ring sits so beautifully on the finger and in the centre are of course the two diamonds that are set into the sweetest setting. The way the setting of the two diamonds seem to be "held" on each side of the band gives it the appearance of hands holding the diamonds adding to the charm and character of the ring even further.
And then on each side leading to the band, the ring is set with an additional diamond to add an extra amount of sparkle.
These diamonds total 0.08 carats and where there might not be the greatest amount of diamond weight, there is certainly the greatest amount of love and charm that goes with this ring.
Measuring 8.8mm wide at the centre by 15.3mm across from one side to the other, this lovely vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring is just so sweet and perfect.
