Here is an antique necklace dating from the late Belle Epoque era to the early part of the Art Deco era that was exquisitely hand made in 14ct gold and silver and set with peridots and diamonds in the most incredible design that is destined to make you feel like a Princess when it is on you neck.
Dating from around 1900 the design has the characteristics and style of the earlier Belle Epoque era that although did technically finish at the start of World War One still influenced jewellery coming into the Art Deco period after the war.
The combination of gold and silver is typical of late Victorian to early Edwardian pieces, and the design itself with a somewhat feminine and lacy design is typical of the Belle Epoque/Edwardian pieces of jewellery.
This magnificent piece is set with sixty old European cut diamonds in the main pendant section and then finished with a further three in the gold and platinum clasp. With a total diamond weight of 1.57 carats, the diamonds alone really makes this necklace sparkle.
And to compliment this piece so well, it is then set with peridot that has such a distinct and characteristic lovely olivine green colour that looks superb against the skin.
These peridots total 12.4 carats and are all matched so well in colour and really do compliment this necklace just perfectly.
Laid out from end to end the necklace measures a perfect 44cm and will make any woman walk so tall with this around her neck.
A mesmerising piece of jewellery, this is destined to be admired every single time that it is worn.
