Antique onyx and pearl locket dating from the 1870’s

Dating from the 1870’s, this antique locket is as beautiful on the front as it is when a photo is placed in the back and makes such a striking impact with the white pearls standing out so well against the black onyx.

Made in 15 carat yellow gold and black onyx, the locket measures 36.2mm across by 48.9mm or 63.2mm to the top of the gold bail, and has such a smooth and tactile feel to it.

On the reverse side is a locket compartment for a photo of a loved one that will then make this piece so much more personal and special to the wearer.

This locket will suit such a multitude of necklace and chain styles, as well as looking so striking when worn on a thick black cord.
