Black dial Rolex Explorer II reference 16570

Rolex sports watches such as the Submariner, GMT and of course the Explorer II have become so highly sought after in recent years, and here is a Rolex Explorer II that not only runs perfectly, but has a case and band that is is brilliant condition.

Many will be surprised when they see this on your wrist that it was made in 1994, as not only does it have such a timeless and classic design, but its condition is just wonderful. Still retaining its original green sticker on the back shows how little this watch has been worn, and is just so wonderful to find.

The watch case measures the iconic 40mm case and is fitted on the Rolex Oyster band which is in superb condition and gives it a great sport look all the while still being suitable to be worn with a suit. The Rolex Explorer II shares similarities to the Rolex GMT Master in that it has the ability to read two different time zones, however as can be seen on the Explorer, it has the fixed bezel as opposed to the rotating bezel.

Inside is the highly accurate and regarded 31 jewelled automatic Rolex calibre 3185 that has just been serviced by our in-house watchmaker who himself used to work for Rolex, and this watch comes complete with our twelve month warranty. Having our own watchmaker on site in our brand new state of the art watchmaking workshop, allows us to be able to service the watches all on site without having to send them interstate or overseas which is the trend lately. Not only are we able to service our watches, but please bring your watch or pocket watch in for us to provide you with a free quote to service it.

What is the Rolex Explorer II?

A brief history of the Rolex Explorer II:

First introduced in 1971, the Rolex Explorer II was the successor to the earlier Rolex Explorer I, however Rolex still continued and do to this day, produce the Rolex Explorer I and another difference between the two Explorer models is that they are vastly different.

Where the original Rolex Explorer I was in a 36mm case, the Rolex Explorer II was in a 40mm case and also has the GMT function hand and fixed outer bezel.

The Rolex Explorer II has the fixed bezel, as opposed to the Rolex GMT Master that has a rotating bezel.
