The way this necklace was designed to allow the amethysts to stand out so well, all the while highlighting the design with the elegant setting and seed pearls in a design that is destined to always be admired.
Made in 9 carat gold in the early 1900's, there are the four main large amethysts and a smaller one above the lower one, and these come together to total an impressive 17.64 carats. With all the amethysts displaying such a fine purple, the use of the seed pearls matches perfectly and adds a subtle charm to an already very beautiful necklace.
Measuring 40cm from end to end, this is a wonderful example of Edwardian jewellery.
