The Art Nouveau era of the late 1800's up until 1914 resulted in a new style of jewellery that took a lot of its inspiration and ideas from nature resulting in many free flowing designs as well as the use of green gold both of which can be seen here in this delightful antique Art Nouveau era ring.
Made in France around 1895, this ring is made in 18ct rose gold with a very charming leaf design on each side.
The "leaves" were made in green gold which is no longer produced today.

The green gold is so lovely and soft in colour and is why the leaf design was made in this colour of gold as it reflects wonderfully the natural design of the leaves.
Combined with the rose gold which itself has such a wonderful colour to it, these two colours of gold really make such a beautiful statement on the finger.
In the centre there are three pearls to add to the charm and character of this Art Nouveau ring.
From the very left to the very right where the leaf is joined to the stem, it measures 17.8mm across by 10.3mm wide at its widest point.
Art Nouveau French jewellery is so charming and this is such an easy ring to wear all the time day or night that will always look so beautiful on any finger.
