Antique garter locket made in 18 carat gold in the 1890’s

Here is a very elegant and refined antique garter locket that was made in 18 carat yellow gold in the late Victorian period of the 1890’s.

Able to hold two images inside, the locket measures 20mm across by 23.5mm plus the link for a chain to pass through.

On the front, there is the Order of the Garter which has been so finely hand engraved and looks even more elegant on the plain yellow gold finish of the locket. With such a smooth tactile feel to it, this is a wonderful antique locket that looks as beautiful and refined today as when it was made over a century ago.
