Hand made in 18ct yellow gold in Chester in 1884, this ring is set with three solid Australian Lightning Ridge black opals as well as two very vibrant old cut diamonds.
Australia is regarded as the home of the world’s best opals and even after all these years there is so much fire in each of these ones here.
With such charming detail even the sides and the band of this ring have been wonderfully hand carved with a star pattern showing why so many antique rings are so loved because of this extra attention to detail.
On the top of the ring where one opal starts across to the opal at the other end, this distance measures 14.8mm across by 5.5mm wide at the centre.
With such lovely solid opals combined with the diamonds and elegant detail, this is a very beautiful and elegant antique opal and diamond ring that will always be loved and cherished.
