Straight from the Victorian era, comes this delightful and charming antique ruby and pearl ring that sits and looks so good on the finger.
Made in Birmingham in 1893 in 15 carat gold, the ring is not just set with rubies and pearls, rather the way there is a scalloped design of the setting around the pearls.
With the ring and pearls highlighted by the natural rubies that all have a wonderful colour and total 0.22 carats, the ring measures 6.3mm wide by 15.6mm across and sits so well on the finger.
This is such a charming ring that will so easily suit any finger.

When was the Victorian era?
The Victorian era was from 1837 until 1901. Until Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Victoria was the longest ruling monarch in British history. Queen Victoria was influential in not just politics, but also fashion. After Prince Albert died in 1861, Queen Victoria went into a perpetual state of mourning. During this time until her death, she wore only black, and popularised mourning jewellery.
