Spinners or swivels as they are also known as, were originally made to be attached to a gents Albert chain, however today it is women who mostly wear them as a pendant where they have the advantage to be able to easily rotated over to change the side and therefore the colour of the material, and here is a very beautiful large swivel that was made in Birmingham in 1892 in 9 carat rose gold.
Designed with a solid curb link design over the top, on one side is a bloodstone and the other carnelian which is able to be easily rotated depending which side you would like to be shown.
Measuring 32.7mm across by 40mm plus the additional links on the top for a chain, this spinner is perfect for any Albert chain or necklace.
