Dating from the 1860's, this antique garnet and turquoise brooch looks amazing from near or far and is a real testament to the style of jewellery that was not only created over 160 years ago, but the quality that has allowed it to last all these years.
Set with a large rose cut garnet in the centre, it is surrounded by six further rose cut garnets and six round cabochon pieces of natural turquoise.
Set into 15 carat rose gold, the colour of the rose gold has that lovely warm colour that looks amazing and is so much more delicate in colour compared to so much modern pink gold that is seen in today's jewellery.
Measuring 28.7mm across by 24.2mm, this brooch will be the perfect accessory for any outfit.

Mid-Victorian antique garnet and turquoise brooch made in the 1860's
This antique brooch was hand made in 15 carat gold in the 1860's. Set with turquoise and garnets, the garnets are rose cut which was one of the earliest forms of cutting diamonds and other gemstones.
