Peridot and pearl pendant & brooch by Willis and Sons
$2,250.00
Willis and Sons was started in 1858 by Richard and Thomas Willis, who were jewellery importers and wholesalers who by the turn of the century had become Australia’s leading gold jewellery manufacturer and created some very special pieces of jewellery as can be seen here in this pendant that can also easily be converted to be worn as a brooch.
Made in 15 carat gold in the early 1900’s, the main body is set with two peridots and highlighted by six seed pearls in that charming design, all of which is further complimented by the elegant border that measures 3.0cm in diameter.
With a brooch fitting on the back, there is the pearl set bail at the top which can be removed and be out of the way when this is worn as a brooch.
Not only a very beautiful and versatile piece of jewellery, this is also a wonderful example of early Australian jewellery.
