15 carat gold antique locket made in 1911

many antique lockets are marked back and front which is a plate of gold with a base metal in the centre, and finding a solid gold one is more wonderful, and when it is in 15 carat gold from the UK then it is even more exciting.

15 carat gold was used in the United Kingdom (and a few other countries such as Australia) and was used in the UK from 1854 until 1931, making it quite a short-lived carat of gold, making this locket even more exciting to own and wear.

With the romantic heart shape, both sides were hand engraved which adds to the unique look and design of this locket, and measuring 22.5mm across by 25.5mm plus the link for a chain to pass through, it is also the perfect size to wear on a chain all the time.
