Hand made in platinum during the Art Deco period of the 1920's, sitting proud in the centre is a lovely natural blue sapphire that measures 2.15 carats, and is surrounded by twelve European cut diamonds that total 1.00 carat in weight.
Not only is platinum the purest of precious metals that is used in jewellery, it also has the ability to be worked into such fine detail such as under the ring that has the most incredible and beautiful design. It is detail such as this that highlights a ring that has both been hand made as well as the gorgeous styles and designs of the Art Deco period of the 1920's.
Measuring 14.7mm across by 16.6mm in length, this ring sits so well on the finger and makes an incredible statement.

1920's Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring hand made in platinum during the Art Deco era. The cluster design is now often called a "Halo ring" and Halo engagement rings have always been a popular design for engagement rings.
A halo ring is one where a centre stone is surrounded by a border of diamonds. Art Deco and vintage halo engagement rings have always been a popular design.
Broadly speaking the Art Deco era was from 1920 until 1940. There will be some people and publications that may state that it started after World War I in 1918, and lasted until 1950, but as there was no reigning monarch to dictate an actual start-finish time such as the Victorian era, the general concusses is from the 1920's through to the 1940's.
