1969 Omega Seamaster Cosmic Day Date

This is such a wonderful vintage Omega watch that will not only always look so good on the wrist, but has quite a few unique features to add to its charm and character.

To begin with, this is the Omega Seamaster Cosmic made in 1969, which was the forerunner to the Omega Cosmic range that was launched in 1972. Along with other watches in the Cosmic range, this is in a one-piece "monocoque" case meaning that the entire case is one piece with the movement when being serviced, taken out from the front of the case. This gives the watch a great look from the back with the flat back and angled sides.

The watch case measures 34.5mm across plus the Omega crown and has been expertly and correctly polished with a lapping wheel that gives the watch case its original radial finish which can be seen as the lines radiating outwards from the case.

Then there is the dial which is so stylish and has not only the date but the day function as well, giving it a great look.

Inside the 24 jewelled Omega calibre 752 has just been serviced by our Omega certified watchmaker and comes with our twenty four month warranty. Along with our Omega and other brands of watches, we are also able to service your watch as well, all in-house, so please bring your watch or pocket watch in for a free quote.

This is such a great looking watch that will no doubt always be admired each time it is on the wrist.

Where can I have my Omega watch serviced in Sydney?

Kalmar Antiques are now an authorised OMEGA service centre. With our watchmaking workshop on site, this allows us to service your Omega right here on the premises without having to send it away, and in a timely manner.

What is the Omega Seamaster Cosmic?

The below information is taken from the book, "Omega, A journey through time" page 295.
The Cosmic 2000

Launched in 1972, the automatic Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 was characterised both by the exclusive watertight system of large gaskets insuring an absolute water-resistance down to 60 meters and by the originality of the method to fasten the movement in the case: the movement is held in a separate "container" maintained by an O-ring gasket on the inner side of the separate case middle. The mineral crystal and the case back are also set into a special water-resistant synthetic sleeve.
