Antique pearl set illusion bangle made in the early 1900's

Here is a wonderful and exciting antique illusion bangle made in 9 carat gold in the early 1900's that will always be such a wonderful talking point and conversation starter and destined to always be loved and admired.

Although it is difficult to see from the images as a camera only has one lens compared to our two eyes, the bangle measures 10.6mm wide at the top and tapers down to 6.3mm wide at the back, however when the bangle is rotated around and viewed, the bangle appears to get more wider and thinner as it turns around thanks to the optical illusion created by the design.

This is a wonderful example that shows that not all antique jewellery was staid and monotonous and the colour of the gold has a beautiful warm rose tone that is so much beautiful that the strong coppery pink of rose gold today.

Fitted with a safety chain for added security, this is a wonderful and fun example of antique jewellery that will always bring a smile to the faces of all who see it.
