Antique ruby buckle ring made in 1904

The buckle design has been used in jewellery for centuries and was thought to represent a bond between two people, and here is a very beautiful antique buckle ring from the Edwardian period.

Made in 18 carat gold in 1904, the ring measures 11.5mm wide at the buckle section and 5.5mm at the back, and has such a lovely smooth finish to the gold that feels so beautiful on the finger.

Set with a round natural ruby that measures 0.15 carats, this adds an extra element of charm and being set low into the gold, along with the design of the ring itself, makes it very easy to wear all the time and would also be perfect for someone who is after a ring that has the gemstone set nice and low in the setting.

Not only attractive, but with a romantic sentiment behind it, this antique buckle ring is perfect for any finger.

What does buckle jewellery mean?

There are a few schools of thought on the buckle meaning, however it is generally accepted that it represents an unbreakable bond between two people.
