Here is a very beautiful and elegant antique Scottish bracelet that is set with white chalcedony and citrine in sterling silver.
Chalcedony is from the quartz family, and when it is banded it is known as an agate, or when devoid of any pattern, a chalcedony such as in this bracelet. Here the white translucent chalcedony is the perfect match to both the sterling silver as well as the rich golden citrines set into that beautiful work at the top of each piece.
The detail surrounding each of the citrines is just wonderful to admire and shows how unique and beautiful antique jewellery can be.
Measuring 18cm in length, the largest oval piece in the centre measures 29.4mm by 22.9mm and the smaller ones at each end measures 24.6mm by 19mm. Sitting perfectly on the wrist, this is a wonderful piece of antique jewellery that can so easily be dressed up or down and will always be perfect for any occasion.

Sterling silver antique Scottish chalcedony and citrine bracelet
Queen Victoria loved her Stuart ancestry, and made Scottish agate jewellery popular in the late 1800's. Also known as pebble jewellery, antique Scottish jewellery set with agates so often displays those wonderful natural earthy tones. Chalcedony is a variety of crypto-crystalline quartz that is devoid of any pattern, and when coloured often has individual names such as carnelian when it is orange or chrysoprase when it is green.
