Every once in a while, you come across a vintage watch that just exudes elegance and style, and this vintage Omega certainly is one of them.
Made in 1959, this Omega was called the "Omega Trésor" which was a series of watches released by Omega in 1949 as an elegant watch primarily aimed for the South American market. This model, the Omega Trésor reference 2897 was produced for just five years between 1957 until 1962, with this particular one being made in 1959.
Fitted in a solid 18 carat gold case that measures 34.5mm across plus the Omega crown, do not even think to be put off in thinking that this is a small watch on the wrist, as thanks to the gold bezel and clean dial, this watch truly appears much larger.
And with the dial, it is as good as anyone would want. The dial is not only so elegant to admire, but is incredibly clean and all original and has not been repainted as many of this age often are. The elegant index markers combined with the sub-seconds and gorgeous hands, all come together to create a watch that will no doubt always be admired each and every time that it is worn.
Inside it is powered by the venerable 19 jewelled automatic Omega calibre 491 movement that has just been completely serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty.
This vintage Omega will make a superb birthday present or to add to a collection for the most fastidious of collectors.

Immaculate 18 carat gold vintage Omega Trésor watch from 1956.
The Omega Trésor was first released by Omega in 1949 as an elegant watch primarily aimed for the South American market.
This vintage Omega Trésor watch is fitted with the Omega calibre 491. The Omega calibre 491 is a nineteen jewelled automatic movement with a power reserve of forty-six hours.
This vintage Omega watch has just been fully serviced by our own in-house LVMH and Rolex trained watchmaker and keeps perfect time. This allows us to maintain control when servicing a watch, and also allows us to be able to service your Rolex here in Sydney without the need to send it away, along with any other brand of watch or pocket watch that you may have.
Where can I service my Omega watch?
When we expanded and renovated our store in late 2022, we put in not only a full watchmaking and polishing workshop, but a watchmaker who used to work for LVMH and Rolex. We also now have full access to Omega watch parts, allowing us to be able to service your Omega watch, as well as other watches such as Omega, Cartier and Patek Philippe to name a few.
