Antique hand engraved buckle ring made in 1917

Buckle rings were very popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and here is one that not only looks and feels amazing on the finger, but exemplifies the superb quality of hand engraving.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold in Chester in 1917, the ring measures 11.4mm wide at the buckle section, and 6.5mm wide at the back and has such a wonderful heft and feel to it.

With the buckle design adding such an attractive look to it, the quality and detail in the hand engraving will have you admiring it every time that you look at it. It truly shows the quality in hand engraving over machine engraving or just simply being stamped out. The time needed to complete all of this hand engraving would have been immense as is the time needed to train and learn this wonderful skill.

This is a great example of a ring made over 100 years ago, and still looks as stylish and fashionable as ever and one that feels amazing to hold and wear.
