Here is a wonderful antique bangle that was made during the lovely Edwardian era in 1904 that has such an elegant design that is complimented by the sparkle of the sapphires and diamonds all in that gorgeous rose gold setting.
Made in Chester in 1904 in 9 carat rose gold, the colour of the gold has that wonderful tone to it that is accentuated even more when it is on the wrist, and with the scroll work detail at each end, there is no doubt that this bangle will always be admired for these features alone.
And then on the top it is set with three natural blue sapphires and two rose cut diamonds. The sapphires total 0.30 carats, and the diamonds 0.02 carats, and the diamonds are set into a wonderful star design adding to the charm of this bangle even further.
Being hinged will allow this bangle to sit nice and close to the wrist, and fitted with a safety chain for added security will give you that extra peace of mind.
Perfect for any occasion and day or night, this bangle is a wonderful example of the elegance of the Edwardian era.

Sapphire and diamond bangle
This antique bangle was made in the Edwardian era and is set with rose cut diamonds.
What are rose cut diamonds?
Like the name implies, the rose cut diamond resembles a rose bud, comprising of a flat base with a number of triangular facets arranged in rows above each other, meeting at a sharp point in the centre.
First manufactured in India at the end of the 15th Century, this cut was perfected at the diamond cutting workshops in Antwerp and Amsterdam, and was very popular during most of the 16th and 17thcenturies.
Because the base of the diamond was flat, stones were often foiled back to improve the brilliance of the stone. This was achieved by applying foils or tints to the base of the stone.
