Here is a spectacular example of a genuine Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring that was made in France in the 1920's, and looks as beautiful today as when it was first made.
Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, the design alone of this ring is so elegant and in the centre is an early brilliant cut diamond that measures 0.12 carats in weight and is highlighted by the four blue sapphires surrounding it. These sapphires total 0.60 carats and are all matched perfectly in colour and transparency and then to highlight the ring even further, there are four rose cut diamonds set between each sapphire. These additional diamonds total 0.04 carats and add that extra amount of sparkle and charm to the ring.
Both the sapphires and the diamonds are millgrain set which can be seen as the elegant crimping along the edge of the setting which was a popular technique during the Art Deco period and highlight the quality of workmanship that went into making this ring by hand all those years ago.
Measuring 12.3mm across by 13.7mm this is a ring that will certainly get all the attention and admiration that it rightly deserves.
