Here you will find some lovely antique rings that can easily be worn as engagement rings and there is nothing quite like a genuine antique diamond engagement ring on your finger.
Many of the antique engagement rings that we have here are from the romantic Victorian era of the 1800’s through to the Edwardian period of the early 1900’s and there is another section on our website displaying our Art Deco engagement rings.
The attention to detail and workmanship in many of these antique engagement rings is what sets the antique engagement rings apart from many of the more modern engagement rings, especially those engagement rings that are cast in large groups and turn out all the same instead of individually hand made where the attention to detail is greater as is the strength and the ability to combine to metals or colours of metals together such as gold and platinum or yellow and white gold.
From antique diamond engagement rings, through to rings set with coloured stones, these can be worn as wedding and engagement rings or for any other occasion. These include the traditional antique diamond ring, but also include such variations as sapphire and diamond rings, and ruby and diamond rings – two combinations that have always remained popular over the years as engagement rings thanks to the durability of the gemstones.
Please enjoy viewing just some of our antique engagement rings or alternatively please come in to our store in the Queen Victoria Building and try some on and be amazed at how wonderful an antique engagement ring feels on the finger.

Made in 18ct yellow gold, this antique diamond engagement ring is claw set with 5 lovely and vibrant old European cut diamonds that graduate so nicely in size leading up to the centre diamond.
The diamonds total 1.42 carats and are all in the white range of diamonds being G in colour and Vs to Si in clarity and they all have such charm to them as only antique hand cut diamonds can have.
The diamonds are claw set allowing the maximum amount of light to enter throughout the diamonds and then adding to the charm and character of this ring, each side is so elegantly hand carved with a charming scroll work design leading to the half round band that feels so smooth and comfortable on the finger.
