Antique amethyst and seed pearl brooch

$2,250.00

This brooch is just so beautiful and attractive and can so easily be worn day or night where it will no doubt always be admired for its beauty.

Made in 15 carat gold in the early 1900’s by the Australian jewellery company Duggin, Shappere & Co, this charming clover brooch is set with three natural amethysts and highlighted beautifully by being set with a total of 36 seed pearls. The clove design is so attractive, and the brooch measures 2.5cm across by 2.7cm and making this even more exciting, is that this exact brooch is featured on page 81 of the “Australian Jewellers: Gold & Silversmiths, Makers & Marks, by Kenneth Cavill, Graham Cocks, and Jack Grace”, making this brooch not only so attractive, but a wonderful piece of early Australian history.
