Antique gold and silver locket made in 1881
$1,250.00
It is incredible to think that this antique locket was made in 1881 and still looks as incredibly beautiful today as when it was made.
Made in sterling silver, the locket has a beautiful floral design on the front that is highlighted with rose and green gold. While rose gold is still common today, green gold was used mostly in the later part of the 19th Century and can be seen on the leaves by having such a soft delicate tone to it that highlights the leaves perfectly. The use of the gold adds so much detail and character to the locket as well as so much extra charm and shows just why antique jewellery is so special and unique.
Measuring 36.5mm across by 45.2mm or 57mm to the top of the bail for a chain to pass through, this is the perfect size to be noticed from near or far. Able to hold two images inside, once placed there, this will become so much more special and personal to the wearer.
No matter if it is worn on a simple chain or make a statement by wearing it on an antique collar, there is no doubt that this locket will always be admired and cherished.
